COOMBERSEWELL TRAINING CIC

We run training in autism awareness aimed at those who encounter autistic people in their every day work, often without even realising it. Our courses are aimed at school caterers, cleaners, taxi drivers, people who work in care homes. Importantly, our authentic autism awareness courses are delivered by an authentically autistic trainer, either via Zoom or face to face at a location convenient to the contracting organisation. We also support autistic people without a diagnosis of learning disabilities, their families and friends to understand and come to terms with diagnosis through mentoring and support. Again, this support is offered by an authentically autistic mentor and advocate with years of personal and professional experience. In the last year alone, CIC director Joyce CoomberSewell has been nominated or shortlisted for 3 community focused awards for her autism awareness and advocacy work.
